TransForum Manchester is a discussion group and peer support forum for all Transgender people and those in any way questioning their gender. You will be welcomed as an individual or together with your partners, family, friends. We meet in a Safe and Comfortable Space in The LGBT Foundation building once a month on Saturday afternoons at 3:30pm. We also work in partnership on projects and events with Manchester Concorde and The LGBT Foundation (LGBTF).
Who are welcome
We welcome transsexual women, transsexual men, Transvestites and many other gender variant people including androgynous, gender-queer, non-binary, gender diverse, gender questioning, cross-dressing & inter-sex people. Although we welcome and embrace a diverse community our main audience is Male to Female Transsexuals and Transvestites and those in-between Male and Female.
What we do
Our Group has a wealth of personal experience and helpful contacts within the local community, local government, the police, the health and the caring professions. We also have social outings for our members to promote affirmation in their preferred gender presentation and to build confidence in public spaces.
We are actively involved in many other events and aim to promote Trans Awareness and Equality & Human Rights to support our commmunity. Such events include Sparkle, and Manchester & Oldham Prides.
Although based in Manchester we have members who travel from all over the North West and beyond. So come and visit a welcoming and friendly group, share your experiences, and join in our discussions, chats and refreshments.
