Surrey Swans

Surrey Swans provides a place where transgender (transvestite, t-girl, transsexual ...) people and their partners can meet socially.

We normally meet on the last Sunday of each month unless that day falls in a bank holiday weekend. When this happens the meeting is held on the following Sunday.

The exception to this is December when the meeting is held on the second Sunday of December.

We meet at THE LION BREWERY, 104 Guildford Road, Ash, Surrey, GU12 6BT.

The meetings are in a separate room that has it's own entrance so it's well suited to anyone that feels a bit nervous about taking those first steps.

It is possible to get changed and put on makeup in privacy at the pub.

The web site of the Lion Brewery is:

Typically there are between 12 and 20 people there. People begin arriving at round about 7:30 pm and generally stay until somewhere between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

There's an attendance fee of £2.50 per person. The aim of this is to cover the cost of paying the person that works behind the bar and also subsidise the cost of events that are organised from time to time.

Usually there is also a raffle. The purchase of raffle tickets is entirely optional ... but if you don't buy a ticket you won't win any prizes. Income from the raffle is also used to subsidise the cost of events.

Food is available ... typical pub kind of food.

Often times there is nothing in particular organised. People sit and chat about anything and everything.
