Gendered Intelligence has launched a support line for trans and gender questioning people attending or waiting to attend the Nottingham Centre For Transgender Health. This is a pilot scheme running to the end of 2018.
We aim to offer information, wellbeing advice and support over the telephone to help people navigate (medical and social) transition, and especially in those early days of the waiting list years. We can offer advice on preparing for first appointments. Support with holistic wellbeing and signposting to community and support organisations.
Support Line: 020 7832 5813
The helpline is open on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 1-6pm
We also now have a mobile number, 07592 650 496, which can also be used with WhatsApp.
The GI Support Line worker can offer to call you back if you share or leave your contact number with us. As the support line is a confidential service, we will not keep a record of your name or contact details after contact and call back.
We are trans led, confidential and independent. This is a GI partnership with Nottingham NHS Foundation Trust.
