Free2B Alliance is a London based Community Interest Company, supporting LGBTQ+ young people and parents and empowering them to work with us in delivering awareness training. We challenge homophobia, biphobia & transphobia, fostering an inclusive environment within education establishments and organisations across the sectors.
We provide several services:
- Free2Talk is our 1:1 mentoring service for LGBTQ+ young people aged 13-18. We provide a safe space for young people to explore their situations and develop the necessary skills and strategies to manage the difficulties they face.
- The Gap Youth Club
- Rainbow Power Youth Council. Rainbow Power reps have assisted with promotional activities across Wandsworth Borough, in order to help raise the profile of The Gap youth club, Free2talk mentoring service, Proud Parents group and our Family Fun Days. They have also supported us at events, most recently at our stall with Battersea Sport in the Park!
- We provide 1:1 support for parents of LGBTQ+ children. Our qualified parent worker Nicki Ryan is here to help and can offer information, advice and guidance to support you. We work with parents and family members at all different stages of their journey - whether your child has just come out and you're feeling confused or shocked, or whether your child is now an adult and has been out for years and you'd just like to meet other rainbow families
- We have been devising and delivering LGBTQ+ training and events since 2009 with a focus on creating an inclusive environment and challenging homophobia, biphobia & transphobia. We have run a number of annual events aimed at young people (aged 11 – 25), developing age appropriate activities to challenge stereotypes and raise awareness of LGBTQ+ equality issues. We have also delivered training to a range of staff from education establishments, government agencies and voluntary sectors, providing practical and simple advice which can be easily implemented for lasting impact.
Based in Wandsworth, South West London and available to any young person who can access the borough. If you are a young person or professional wishing to refer to our mentoring service, please contact us by email.
