The yOUTh Project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and works across all of Kirklees providing support to LGB&T young people, their parents and carers.
- One-to-one support for young people around their sexual orientation and/or gender identity
- Support for parents and families of LGB&T young people
- LGB&T youth groups
- Schools and partnership work
- Research into the further needs of LGB&T young people
The project will involve LGB&T young people in improving services locally so they better meet their needs. Our team will work with organizations locally, regionally and nationally to improve the health and well-being of LGB&T young people and to make Kirklees a great place to be LGB&T.
The Brunswick Centre is a charity (charity no. 1015450) and company limited by guarantee providing a number of community based services. The charity is aware of the social and health inequalities that impact on people's lives creating barriers to choice, service access and ultimately their health and well-being. We work at a service delivery and strategic level to redress this.
